Neighborhood apples and pears from family homes and abandoned orchards of Lafayette, Orinda and Moraga are hand harvested by volunteers of the Moraga Lions Club and Notes4Hope, a mission-based organization that builds a community around the healing power of music to raise money and provide education for breast cancer research and prevention initiatives.
Fruit that would otherwise fall to ruin is instead crushed, pressed and wild fermented in French Neutral Oak Barrels before undergoing a secondary fermentation in bottle to create a truly special cider that showcases the collaborative spirit and unique terroir of the Lamorinda community.
A portion of all Community Crush proceeds directly benefit Notes4Hope and the Moraga Lions Club.
