Fall is in the air, the harvest season is upon us and cider and wine production is in full swing. On Sunday, October 20th, Thomas will be taking folks on a "Meet the Maker" cider journey like none ever before. For those who wish to join, we will be tasting our way through Mount Diablo Cider’s 2024 Fall releases complete with varietal history, production trials and tribulations and as an added bonus, evaluations and tasting notes from Mourad’s sommelier, Jose Delgado. If you’ve ever wondered what it takes to be a sommelier or wish to pick one’s brain/pallet, this is your chance. Every patron will be provided with a structured sensory analysis sheet for each cider being tasted/evaluated (the very same analysis sheet used for the certified pommelier exam). Rediscover America’s original drink with Lafayette’s very own cider maker, learn how to evaluate wine/cider with Mourad’s sommelier and come away with a unique experience.

The Moraga Pear and Wine Festival is a beloved annual event that celebrates the rich agricultural history and vibrant community spirit of Moraga. The sixth annual Central Coast Cider Festival has a new home! We are so excited to announce that we will now host the Central Coast Cider Fest at the Famous Sunken Gardens in Atascadero on Saturday, August 24th from 4 - 8 p.m. That's right, an evening of Cider tasting right in downtown Atascadero! 

This beautiful, new backdrop, will be a culmination of this craft beverage and give attendees a great opportunity to taste a variety of ciders, meet the cider makers, and enjoy the community of Atascadero. 

We will have live entertainment by Erin and the Earthquakes and DJ Sets by Traffic Records!

We will also have a great selection of food and merchant vendors!

Includes hour early entry at 4 p.m. and samples of Ciders only available during the VIP Session.

Exclusive Event for Cider Club and The Office Members Only!

Historically held three times a year, the Mercantile is the Good Food Movement’s answer to building commerce and community. Traditional trade shows typically convene tens of thousands of buyers, many not prepared to work with businesses whose core aspirations don’t include unbridled growth. The Good Food Foundation deeply understands the challenge that presents for smaller companies lost in a sea of booths, and instead curates a different kind of gathering: The Good Food Mercantile.

It is a one-day, intimate gathering of like-minded food crafters and merchants which offers the same sized booths to everyone, a start time conducive to arriving well-rested, and booth fees at a quarter of the price of other trade shows. Open exclusively to Good Food Guild Members, it is an opportunity for thoughtful, responsible American food crafters to connect with the growing community of retailers that value quality, care and craftsmanship.

The first Mercantile was held in January 2015 alongside the Good Food Awards in San Francisco. Since 2015, we have added an annual Mercantile in NYC and Portland, and are thrilled to bring together 350-800 retailers and media with 100-200 crafters at each gathering. In selecting attendees, focus is placed on ensuring a diverse set of food and drink is represented, with the goal of two-thirds regional and one-third national producers.

This year's annual A Taste of De La Salle will be held on Thursday, September 14 from 6:30-9 pm. The event offers a delightful opportunity to enjoy great food, wine, and beer from local vendors while interacting with other members of the De La Salle community.

A Taste of De La Salle kicks off our school’s fall fundraising efforts to support all co-curricular activities at De La Salle including Athletics, Campus Ministry, Company, Band, Robotics, and more. The event features tastings from wineries in Napa, Sonoma, Livermore, and Central Valley, as well as tastings from local breweries, and delicious food samplings from some of the top restaurants in the area.
