Fall is in the air, the harvest season is upon us and cider and wine production is in full swing. On Sunday, October 20th, Thomas will be taking folks on a "Meet the Maker" cider journey like none ever before. For those who wish to join, we will be tasting our way through Mount Diablo Cider’s 2024 Fall releases complete with varietal history, production trials and tribulations and as an added bonus, evaluations and tasting notes from Mourad’s sommelier, Jose Delgado. If you’ve ever wondered what it takes to be a sommelier or wish to pick one’s brain/pallet, this is your chance. Every patron will be provided with a structured sensory analysis sheet for each cider being tasted/evaluated (the very same analysis sheet used for the certified pommelier exam). Rediscover America’s original drink with Lafayette’s very own cider maker, learn how to evaluate wine/cider with Mourad’s sommelier and come away with a unique experience.
